2020 saw the K&S McKenzie business double in size with the opening of our Tool Centre store in Carlisle. Of course, 2020 was an unprecedented year and the opening of the Tool Centre coincided with the Covid-19 pandemic. Amidst lockdowns, operations challenges and changes, our incredible team navigated this challenging time and today the Tool Centre is a successful part of the K&S McKenzie business.
The Tool Centre is modern and spacious with a wealth of products to choose from. It is home to a huge variety of tools and equipment ranging from DIY and entry-level products to professional and industrial items, we also stock workshop equipment, consumables, and are home to one of the largest displays of toolboxes in the North!
As we stock both new and factory refurbished products there is always something available to fit every budget.
Alternatively, you can ensure you are getting a great deal when shopping with us in store by looking out for ‘internet beating’ products guaranteeing the price on our shelf is cheaper than you will find it online.
We pride ourselves on the knowledge of our team and the quality of service they provide, so when you shop with us at the Tool Centre, you can be sure there is always someone on hand to help and advise you either in-store or over the phone.
Pricing
When shopping with us in store you may notice a lot of items have two prices listed. These are labelled ‘Account’ and ‘Pay Now’. Please note all our prices listed are nett, excluding VAT.
At the Tool Centre we aim to bring you a better deal when paying for and collecting an item from store instead of placing on a credit account and having an item delivered.
Account prices aren’t increased, instead our ‘Pay Now’ prices are reductions on items which aren’t available at our main warehouse.
Account customers can still enjoy existing price-terms when shopping at the Tool Centre.
The higher value an item is, the more we will knock off for a ‘Pay Now’ price.
Customers paying up front for an item which they would like to be delivered, may in some cases pay a delivery fee via the ‘Account’ price instead. Similarly, account customers who choose to collect items from store may receive a ‘Pay Now’ price when placing an item on a credit account.
